Notopterygium Extract Usage and Synthesis.Qiangwu Extract is a herbal extract with multiple effects.
According to the experiments of the flat dish method, Qiangwu oil has been proved to have a significant inhibitory effect on dysentery bacillus, Escherichia coli, typhoid bacillus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus at a concentration of 0.004 ml/ml.
In addition, Qiangwu extract has antipyretic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-myocardial ischaemia, anti-arrhythmia, anti-thrombosis, anti-epileptic, anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial and so on.
Uses of Notopterygium Extract.

Pharmacological Effect of Notopterygium Extract.
1.Antipyretic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory effects
The extract of Qiangwu can significantly reduce the body temperature of pyogenic rats, with obvious antipyretic effect; moreover, when given volatile oil of Qiangwu for 3 consecutive days, and then intraperitoneally injected with 0.5% acetic acid solution 0.2mL/g, it was found that volatile oil of Qiangwu could significantly reduce the number of twisting of the body of the mice, with obvious analgesic effect.
The pain threshold of mice was significantly increased 40 minutes after the intraperitoneal injection of 2% Qiangwu injection 10mL/kg. 2% Qiangwu injection 10mL/kg could significantly counteract the Writhing reaction.
The n-butanol chromatographic fraction of its methanol extract could inhibit the writhing reaction induced by acetic acid, and its analgesic component was Notopterol (NI-1), which could significantly inhibit the increase of capillary permeability when mice were orally administered with NI-1100mg/kg.
Infusion of Qiangwu volatile oil significantly inhibited xylene ear oedema in mice, hornwort foot swelling in rats and dextrose foot swelling in rats.
2.Antibacterial effect
Qiangwu volatile oil 0.004mL/mL and 0.008mL/mL on agar has antibacterial effect, 0.002mL/mL, on Fusarium dysentery bacillus, Escherichia coli 126, typhoid fever bacillus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and so on have antibacterial effect.
