It can be used as the first line of palliative treatment for advanced prostate cancer.

Production method of Bicalutamide Powder.

2- methyl methacrylate (I) is epoxidized to obtain epoxide (Ⅱ), which is then reacted with p-fluorophenthiophenol in the presence of sodium hydride to form compound (Ⅲ) and then oxidized to compound (Ⅳ). It is then hydrolyzed to acid (V) and chlorinated to acyl chloride (VI) by sulfoxide chloride. Finally, it was condensed with 3- trifluoromethyl -4- cyananiline (Ⅶ) to obtain the product.
