Plantaginis Extract Powder Usage and Synthesis.

Psyllium Extract is extracted brownish-yellow powder from Plantago ovata of Plantago family, the main active ingredients are psyllium glycoside, peach leaf coral glycoside, ursolic acid, β-sitosterol, vitamins B, C and so on. 

It is often used in oedema and urinary deficiency, hot shower and astringent pain, summer-dampness diarrhoea and dysentery, phlegm-heat cough, vomiting blood and epistaxis, carbuncle, swelling and sores. 

It can increase the excretion of urine volume, urea, chloride, uric acid, etc. It also has expectorant, cough suppressant and antimicrobial effects, which can increase respiratory secretion and make sputum diluted and easily discharged.

Uses of Plantaginis Extract.

Clearing heat and inducing diuresis, expelling phlegm, cooling blood and detoxicating. It is used in treating oedema and scanty urination, heat drenching and astringent pain, summer-dampness diarrhoea and dysentery, cough with phlegm-heat, epistaxis, carbuncle, swelling and sores.
