Hydroxychloroquine sulfate tablets are widely distributed in the eyes, kidneys, liver, lungs and other organs after oral administration, and can also pass through the placenta. The blood concentration reaches its peak in about 2 to 4.5 hours, and the concentration in red blood cells is 2 to 5 times higher than the plasma concentration. Some are metabolized in the liver as active deethylated metabolites. The plasma elimination half-life is about 32 days. It is mainly excreted through the kidney and excreted slowly, of which 23-25% is the original drug and can also be excreted with milk.

Pharmacological action of Hydroxychloroquine sulfate powder.
Hydroxychloroquine sulfate has similar pharmacological action, pharmacokinetics and metabolic process as chloroquine. After oral administration, hydroxychloroquine is rapidly and almost completely absorbed. In one study, after a single dose of 400mg of hydroxychloroquine was given to healthy volunteers, the average plasma peak concentration was in the range of 53-208ng/ml, with an average level of 105ng/ml. The mean time for plasma to reach peak concentration was 1.83 hours. Depending on the time after administration, the mean plasma elimination half-life changes as follows: 5.9 hours, 26.1 hours, and 299 hours, respectively, at -10, 10-48, and 48-504 hours after peak plasma concentration. Parent compounds and metabolites are widely distributed in the body and are eliminated primarily through urine. In one study, 3% of the dose administered was observed over 24 hours.
