Physcion powder Usage and Synthesis.

Earlier, rhubarbin methyl ether was mainly used in the pharmaceutical industry, but now with the deepening of the research, the application of rhubarbin methyl ether in agriculture has been gradually opened up.

With natural plant rhubarb as raw material, after careful extraction of its active ingredients, processing and development of rhubarbin methyl ether is a kind of highly active plant-derived fungicide, practice has proved that 0.5% rhubarbin methyl ether AS on powdery mildew, downy mildew, grey mould, anthracnose and so on, has a very good prevention and control effect.

It is low toxicity to humans and animals, friendly to the environment, not easy to produce resistance, because it contains a large number of humic acid and amino acids, but also can effectively promote the growth of crop new shoots, new shoots, can be used as a substitute for conventional high-toxicity, high-residue pesticides, especially suitable for green and organic vegetable production.

Uses of Physcion powder.

It is used in treating solid-heat constipation, stagnation and abdominal pain, diarrhoea and dysentery, damp-heat jaundice, blood-heat epistaxis, redness of the eyes, pharyngeal swelling, intestinal carbuncle, carbuncle and furuncle, blood stasis and menstrual occlusion, bruises, external treatment of scalded by water and fire, and haemorrhage of the upper gastrointestinal tract.

Antibacterial. Mainly used as a laxative. Rhodopsin Methyl Ether is used in studies of antibiotics, antifungal agents, biologically active small molecules and cell biology.

Methyl ether of rhodopsin has been used in a study to test the cytotoxicity of juglanthraquinoneC against human cancer cells. Rheumannin methyl ether has also been used in a study to investigate the metabolic modulatory effects of boba rhubarb (Rheumundulatum) on a high-fat dietary pattern.

Pharmacological Effect of Physcion powder.

Rhododendron methyl ether on Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Streptococcus and dysentery bacillus and other 26 kinds of bacteria have inhibitory effect; in the Salmonella TA1535 test has a mutagenic effect; on the human cervical cancer Hela cell longevity inhibitory effect of the stronger; antimicrobial, used for laxative and so on.

Brick red monoclinic needle crystal, melting point 203～207℃. Soluble in benzene, chloroform, pyridine, toluene and sodium hydroxide aqueous solution, almost insoluble in water, sodium carbonate and other weak alkali aqueous solution, slightly soluble in ethyl acetate, acetic acid, methanol, ether and so on.
