Product details
Chlorhexidine adsorbed on the infiltration barrier of the bacterial serous membrane, causing the cell contents to leak out, showing antibacterial effect at low concentration and bactericidal effect at high concentration. It is effective even in the presence of serum, blood, etc. Not effective against spores, acid-fast bacilli, fungi and viruses. Clinically, it is used to wash hands, soak hands and disinfect the skin of the operation area before operation. Oral and throat infections, wound irrigation, instrument disinfection, hospital room or operating room and other environmental disinfection. Creams or ointments for infantile eczema, small burns, scalds and impetigo; Powder for heat rash, eczema dermatitis erythema stage. Coating for minor burns and scalds.
Uses of Chlorhexidine.
Chlorhexidine is used for gingivitis (acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis), oral infections after dental surgery, prevention and treatment of oral infections in patients with cancer and leukemia, stomatitis associated with bacterial or fungal oral infections caused by denture wear, follicular stomatitis, and reduction of dental plaque. It is also used as a disinfectant for instruments and skin, and as a preservative for eye drops. It is generally believed that the bactericidal principle of chlorhexidine is mainly to destroy the infiltration barrier on the bacterial serous membrane (rather than the previous assumption that the ATPase is inactive to achieve the bactericidal effect), low concentration can lead to partial cytoplasmic leakage, and high concentration can cause cytoplasmic condensation and degeneration, thus sterilization.
Pharmacological action of Chlorhexidine.
Product Method of Bulk Chlorhexidine Powder.
