Olopatadine is a selective dibenzoxepin-2-acetic acid histamine H1 receptor antagonist and mast cell stabilizer, which can inhibit tachykinin and other chemical transmitters, such as histamine , arachidonic acid, thromboxane, leukotrienes and other release.
