Abamectin Powder Usage and Synthesis.

Abamectin has gastric toxicity and poisoning effects on mites and insects, and cannot kill eggs. The mechanism of action is different from that of general insecticides in that it interferes with neurophysiological activities and stimulates the release of γ-aminobutyric acid, which has an inhibitory effect on the nerve conduction of arthropods.

Mite adults, worms and insect larvae in contact with avermectin will show paralysis symptoms, inactivity, no feeding, and death after 2 to 4 days.

Because it does not cause rapid dehydration of insects, so the lethal effect of abamectin is slow. Avermectin has a direct poisoning effect on predatory insects and parasitic natural enemies, but because of the small residue on the surface of the plant, the damage to beneficial insects is very small.

Avermectin is adsorbed by the soil and does not move, and is decomposed by microorganisms, so it has no cumulative effect in the environment and can be used as a component of integrated control.

It is easy to prepare, and can be used by pouring the preparation into water and mixing it slightly. It is also safe for crops, and no harmful effects will occur when used according to the introduced methods. Applicable crops: vegetables, citrus, cotton, etc.

Abamectin Powder

Uses and functions of Abamectin.

Abamectin is a hexadecyl macrolide with strong insecticidal, acaricidal and nematicidal activity. It is a broad-spectrum, efficient and safe dual-use antibiotic for agriculture and livestock It has stomach poisoning and poisoning by touch.

It has gastric toxicity and poisoning effect, and cannot kill eggs. Its mechanism of action is to interfere with neurophysiological activity, affecting the cell membrane chloride conduction, amino butyric acid is its action site.

When the agent stimulates the action site, it blocks the transmission process of motor nerve information, so that the signal of the central nervous system of the pest is constantly accepted by the motor neurons, and the pest is rapidly paralysed, refuses to eat, and moves slowly or does not move in a few hours, and the lethal effect is slow because it does not cause the rapid dehydration of the insect, so it is generally dead after 24d.

It is used to prevent and control many kinds of pests on vegetables, fruit trees and other crops, such as cabbage moth, cabbage greenfly, stick insects, flea beetles, etc. It is especially effective for the pests that are resistant to other pesticides.

It can be used for vegetable pests with dosage of 10-20g per hectare, and the prevention effect is more than 90%; it can be used for the prevention and control of citrus rust mite with dosage of 13.5-54g per hectare, and the residual period is up to 4 weeks (if it is mixed with mineral oil, the dosage will be reduced to 13.5-27g, and the residual period will be prolonged to 16 weeks); and it also can be used to prevent and control the vermilion leaf mite of cotton, the nocturnal moth of tobacco, the bollworm of cotton, and the aphid of cotton, which all have very good prevention and control effects.

In addition, it can also be used to prevent and control cattle parasitic diseases, such as cattle hairy lice, tiny cattle ticks, cattle foot mites, etc. For the prevention and control of parasitic diseases, the dosage is 0.2mg/kg body weight.

Abamectin

Characteristic of Abamectin.

The partition coefficient is 9.9×103. It is stable under normal conditions and will not be hydrolysed at pH 5-9. Abamectin can be used for the control of many kinds of pests and mites on vegetables, fruit trees and cotton.

Abamectin CAS 71751-41-2

Poduction Method of  Bulk Abamectin Powder.

Abamectin is produced by Streptomycesavermitills. It is a new species of Streptomyces, a grey Streptomyces (the similar melbeycin producer is a water-absorbing Streptomyces).

The morphology is that of an aerial mycelium branching, with spores generally appearing on oatmeal agar, glycerol, asparagine, inorganic salts, starch and egg white agar. Upon electron microscopic observation, the spore filaments begin as a tight spiral and gradually loosen at a later stage. The spores on the spore chain are generally more than 15, round to ellipsoidal, with a smooth surface.

Strain selection is very important, different strains of avermectin production strains to make the fermentation broth of the components of the content is different, the selection of new high-yielding strains not only to improve the total unit of avermectin, but also to make the proportion of B1 components increased significantly.

Preservation of strains of avermectin-producing bacteria were grown on YMS slants (yeast paste 4.0g, malt wort 10.0g, soluble starch 4.0g, agar 20.0g, water 1000mL, pH=7.4), and then the spores were placed in a 20% aqueous glycerol solution and preserved at -30℃.
