Andrographolide Powder Usage and Synthesis.

The main active ingredients of Andrographis paniculata are diterpene lactones, which are anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiviral infections.

Among them, Andrographolide and dehydrated Andrographolide are the most abundant, while dehydrated Andrographolide is the one with the strongest action among Andrographolide compounds.

Drugs made of Andrographolide or dehydrated Andrographolide and its derivatives, such as Andrographolide tablets, Andrographolide injection, Inflammatory Succinate injection, etc., have been widely used in clinical practice.

Uses of Andrographolide.

Antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, purgative and detoxicant. Suitable for the treatment of bacterial dysentery, acute gastroenteritis, mumps, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, upper respiratory tract infections.

Andrographolide has the efficacy of removing heat and detoxification, anti-inflammatory and analgesic, it has special curative effect on bacterial and viral upper respiratory tract infections and dysentery, and is known as a natural antibiotic drug.

Characteristic of  Bulk Andrographolide Powder.

White square or rectangular crystal. Melting point 224-230°C (decomposition). Soluble in boiling ethanol, slightly soluble in methanol or ethanol, very slightly soluble in chloroform, insoluble in water or ether. Odourless, extremely bitter taste.

Product method of Black Cohosh Extract.

This product is a kind of lactone extracted from the leaves of Andrographis paniculata, family Jurassicaceae. Andrographis paniculata leaves with 95% ethanol soaking, the ethanol soaking liquid with activated carbon decolourisation, decolourisation of the liquid distillation recovery of ethanol after the concentration of static crude crystals, crude crystals with 15 times the amount of 95% ethanol heating to dissolve the activated carbon decolourization, filtration, while hot, static recrystallization, a yellowish recrystallised, and then distilled water, chloroform, methanol washing and refining to get the end product of Andrographis paniculata lactones. The total yield is 1-1.5% for raw drug.
