Prednisolone Powder Usage and Synthesis.

Prednisolone is mainly used in allergic and inflammatory diseases. Because of its weak sodium retention effect, it is generally not used in the replacement therapy of hypoadrenocorticism.

Adrenocortical Hyperfunction, hypertension, atherosclerosis, heart failure, diabetes mellitus, psychosis, epilepsy, post-surgical patients, and patients with gastric or duodenal ulcers, intestinal disorders or chronic malnutrition should be avoided.

Do not use this class of drugs for general infections. Acute infection poisoning, must be applied in conjunction with a sufficient amount of effective antibacterial drugs, for severe tuberculosis should be combined with a sufficient amount of anti-tuberculosis drugs, and according to the condition, timely reduction and discontinuation.

Uses and functions of Prednisolone.

Pharmacological Effect of Prednisolone.

Adrenocortical Corticosteroids. Supraphysiological amounts of glucocorticoids have a variety of pharmacological effects including anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and immunosuppressive effects.

1, anti-inflammatory effect: glucocorticoids reduce and prevent tissue response to inflammation, thus reducing the manifestation of inflammation.

2, immunosuppressive effect: prevent or inhibit cell-mediated immune response, delayed allergic reaction, reduce the number of T lymphocytes, monocytes eosinophils, reduce the binding capacity of immunoglobulin and cell surface receptors, and inhibit the synthesis and release of interleukin, thus reducing the conversion of T cells to lymphoblastoid cells and reducing the expansion of primary immune response.

3、Anti-toxicity, anti-shock effect: glucocorticoids can counteract the stimulation reaction of bacterial endotoxin to the organism, reduce cellular damage, and play the role of protecting the organism.
