Polyprezin is a new anti-ulcer drug developed by Hamari New Drug Co., LTD., Japan. It was the first zinc-containing compound for clinical use, and the drug was marketed in Japan in 1994 under the trade name Promac in the form of granules.

Uses of zinc carnosine.

Polyprezin is a zinc complex of L-carnosine. L-carnosine is a dipeptide composed of β-alanine and L-histidine, which is an antioxidant; Zinc promotes wound healing. Clinical trial data show that polyprezin has anti-oxidation and membrane stability, so as to maintain the homeostasis of gastric mucosa, to protect the role of gastric mucosa cells, and it can also promote wound healing, enhance the role of defense factors, to prevent and treat peptic ulcer.
