Antibacterial action

Faropenem sodium can inhibit staphylococcus, streptococcus and many gram-negative bacteria, including influenza bacillus, gonococcus, Lankatabhanella, has a strong biological activity. It is particularly effective against anaerobic bacteria, and its antibacterial effect in vitro has been compared with many antibiotics, such as cefteram, cefixime, cefaclor, amoxicillin, cefotaxime, cefuroxime, Clindamycin, imipenem, cefpoxime, ciprofloxacin, Piperacil, ametine, Metronidazole, tobramycin, vancomycin, etc. Its inhibition of anaerobic bacteria is stronger than that of the antibiotics in the trial, and it is by far the strongest antibiotic against anaerobic bacteria. In addition, it is more effective against staphylococcus, pneumococcus, streptococcus and many gram-negative bacteria than cefteram, cefixime, cefaclor, amoxicillin, and 5-10 times stronger than third-generation cephalosporins.
