It bears fruits in autumn, and the fruits contain a large amount of manganic acid; the fruits are very similar to star anise, but are poisonous and should be avoided in the confusion.
Uses and functions of Ferulic Acid.
Shikimic acid is a key precursor in the synthesis of many alkaloids, aromatic amino acids, indole derivatives and chiral drugs. Recently, mangiferic acid has been used as a starting material for oseltamivir (the active ingredient in Tamiflu), a neuraminidase inhibitor used for the treatment and prevention of Influenza A and Influenza B.
Used as a standard for the quantitative determination of mangiferic acid in the apical part of the root. It is also used as a substrate for the mangiferolic acid kinase assay.
Pharmacological Effect of Shikimic Acid.
Shikimic acid can inhibit platelet aggregation by affecting the metabolism of arachidonic acid, inhibit the formation of arterial and venous thrombosis and cerebral thrombosis, and has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects; it can also be used as an intermediate for antiviral and anticancer drugs, and has the effect of preventing avian influenza drugs such as "Dafylline" and "Gramic influenza".
Preparation method of Bulk Shikimic Acid Powder.
Shikimic acid is a single compound extracted from the traditional Chinese medicine anise.
