Hinokitiol Raw material Hinokitiol powder
Product Overview:
Hinokitiol, also known as cypress phenol, has good antimicrobial, moisturising and pest avoidance effects, it is a highly safe plant ingredient that can be used as an antibacterial and insect repellent, and is the main ingredient of Taiwan's cypress essential oil. It has a wide range of biological activities, with strong bactericidal ability, and a minimum inhibitory concentration of 10-100 ppm for bacteria in general, and it smells good and has good effects, and it kills airborne bacteria, microfungus, prevents pests from attacking the human body, and inhibits human pathogens, and it is now used in the production of shower gels, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and other products.

Hinokitiol Raw material Hinokitiol powder Details
Hinokitiol powder Usage and Synthesis.
Hinokitiol is a monoterpene natural compound with a choropleth ketone backbone, originally extracted from the trunk of the Taiwan cypress by Japanese scientist Anderson in 1948.
Hinokitiol has good antibacterial, moisturising and pest avoidance properties, and is a highly safe botanical ingredient for use in antibacterial and insect repellents.
Hinokiol is the main ingredient in the essential oil of Taiwan Cypress. It has a wide range of biological activities and strong bactericidal ability, killing airborne bacteria and microfungi, preventing pests from attacking the human body, and inhibiting human pathogenic bacteria.
Juniperol has an amazing effect on inhibiting Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). In addition to excellent wood properties and processing performance, hinokitiol and fentolin contained in hinokitiol have unique pharmacological effects, not only killing bacteria, fungi and protozoa, antiseptic, ants and mould, but also enhancing the body's ability to resist disease, strengthening memory and concentration.
In one study, hinokitiol was tested at different points in time in the dashi.
Uses of Hinokitiol powder.
Hinokitiol has good antimicrobial, moisturising and pest avoidance effects, and is a highly safe botanical ingredient that can be used to make antimicrobial and insect repellents.
Hinokitiol is the main component of the essential oil of Taiwan cypress, which has a wide range of biological activity and strong bactericidal ability, killing airborne bacteria and microfungi, preventing pests from attacking the human body, and inhibiting human pathogenic bacteria. Hinokiol has an amazing effect on inhibiting Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
In addition, hinokitiol can also kill bacteria, fungi and protozoa, antiseptic, antimicrobial, anti-mould, enhance the body's ability to resist disease, strengthen memory and concentration, and has a high pharmaceutical clinical health care value.
Therefore, hinokitiol is widely used in the production of shower gel, cosmetics, medicine, agriculture and other products.
Preparation method of Hinokitiol powder.
1, Synthesis from methoxycycloheptatriene via isopropylcycloheptatrienone and aminoisopropylcycloheptatrienone.
2, Hinokitiol was synthesised from carvone via a six-step reaction including epoxidation and acetalisation.
3, Isopropyl cycloheptanone from isopropyl cyclohexanone or isopropyl cyclohexenone was made in two steps by conversion to hydroxynitrile, then prepared by oxidation, bromination, and debromination of hydrogen.
4, Brominated cycloheptatrienone is synthesised by reaction with an organic substance followed by catalytic hydrogenation.
5, Isopropylcyclopentadiene was made from the addition of cyclopentadiene to a dichloroallyl ketone, followed by solventolysis and synthesised by a three-step reaction to hinokitiol.
The first four preparations have too many steps in the synthetic route or the raw materials are difficult to obtain and practically impossible to produce industrially. Therefore, in recent years, the research mainly focuses on the fifth synthetic method.
