Cytarabine Hydrochloride Powder CAS 69-74-9 Raw Material
Product Overview:
Cytarabine Hydrochloride is a pyrimidine antimetabolite, mainly used in the treatment of acute granulocytic leukaemia and gastrointestinal tumours, and is the most common drug used in the treatment of leukaemia, Cytarabine Hydrochloride CAS 69-74-9 has been used in clinical practice for a long time to achieve good therapeutic results. Cytarabine Hydrochloride is an important anti-leukaemia drug that interferes with DNA synthesis in vivo, thereby inhibiting the multiplication of leukaemia cells and achieving anti-tumour pharmacological effects. Hydrochloride Raw Material is an anti-pyrimidine antimetabolite that belongs to the class of drugs that act specifically on the S cell cycle, inhibits DNA polymerase, interferes with DNA synthesis and has anticancer effects.

Uses and functions of Cytarabine Hydrochloride Powder.
Used in dermatology for the treatment of severe herpes simplex, herpes zoster and chickenpox; in oncology for the treatment of malignant lymphoma, acute leukaemia and other cancers.
Antineoplastic. Mainly for the treatment of acute leukaemia and cancers of the digestive tract; not effective against most solid tumours. Ocular herpes zoster and herpes simplex conjunctivitis are also effective. Bone marrow suppression and gastrointestinal reactions are common. A few patients may have abnormal liver function, fever and skin rash. Strict blood tests should be performed during administration. Anti-malignant agent, the drug of choice for acute granulocytic leukaemia. Uses: For acute leukaemia, also for squamous carcinoma of the head and neck, externally for viral keratitis and epidemic conjunctivitis, etc.
Pharmacological Effects of Cytarabine Hydrochloride Powder.
Cytarabine Hydrochloride is an anti-pyrimidine antimetabolite that acts specifically on the S cell cycle, inhibits DNA polymerase, interferes with DNA synthesis and has anticancer effects. It inhibits certain DNA viruses, especially varicella, herpes zoster and herpes simplex viruses, to which it is most sensitive. It is a powerful immunosuppressant for humoral and cellular immune system. The rate of complete remission is 10%-15% with 10-30mg/m2 alone; 30% with 100-200mg/m2; the rate of complete remission can be increased to 70%-80% when combined with anthracycline antibiotics such as Adriamycin. It is also effective against malignant lymphoma, ovarian cancer and gastrointestinal tract cancer. However, it is not effective against most solid tumours. The efficacy against granulocytic leukaemia can be enhanced with mercaptopurine 6-8 hours after dosing.
- 1. Combined with amphotericin B and digoxin, the effect of cytarabine is reduced or shortened.
- 2. This product should not be used in combination with 5-FU.
Production method of Cytarabine Hydrochloride Powder.
Preparation of cytidine nucleoside hydrochloride 5'-cytidine-phosphate 100g suspended in 800ml distilled water, add about 50ml concentrated ammonia, adjust pH to 8-9, insoluble material can be removed by filtration, dilute to 1L and add lanthanum hydroxide gel 1L, raise the temperature to 90℃ and stir hydrolysis (the end point of reaction can be determined by electrophoresis analysis of lanthanum hydroxide gel during hydrolysis), when the 5' -cytidine-phosphate spot on the electrophoresis paper -When the cytidine-phosphate spots disappear and cytosine spots appear on the electrophoresis paper (approx. 25 h), the reaction is completed and the supernatant is obtained by centrifugation. Concentrate under reduced pressure, filter to remove insoluble matter, stop after concentrating to about 0.2L, cool, adjust pH to 2.5-3 with 6mol/L hydrochloric acid, i.e. white crystals will be precipitated, add 100m195% ethanol, refrigerate and cool overnight, then filter, wash with dilute alcohol and anhydrous ethanol to obtain the product.
