Cryptotanshinone Raw Materials Cryptotanshinone Powder
Product Overview:
Cryptotanshinone (CTS) is the main fat-soluble extract of Salvia miltiorrhiza with orange needle-like crystals, which belongs to diterpene quinone compounds, and most of this group of constituents have the structure of o-quinone or p-quinone with ternary or quaternary ring in the backbone, which makes most of them have antitumour, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and other activities. In recent years, the study of this compound in the mechanism of pharmacological activity has made great progress.

Cryptotanshinone Raw Materials Cryptotanshinone Powder Details
Cryptotanshinone Powder Usage and Synthesis.
Cryptotanshinone is a compound with antioxidant, antiaging and bacteriostatic effects, which is mainly found in the traditional Chinese medicine Salvia miltiorrhiza. It is considered to be effective in the treatment of coronary heart disease, angina pectoris and myocardial damage, and has inhibitory effects on bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Streptococcus haemolyticus. In addition, cryptotanshinone has a variety of biological activities such as anti-inflammatory, anti-tumour and anti-oxidant activities.
Uses of Cryptotanshinone.
It has antioxidant and anti-aging functions, and is effective in the treatment of coronary heart disease, angina pectoris and myocardial damage. Cryptotanshinone has bacteriostatic effect, 1mg/ml has inhibitory effect on Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and also has certain inhibitory effect on Streptococcus haemolyticus.
Pharmacological effect of Cryptotanshinone.
1. Bacteriostatic effect: The chemical components isolated from total tanshinone proved by in vitro bacteriostatic test that cryptotanshinone has the strongest bacteriostatic activity and higher content, so it is the main component of bacteriostatic activity in total tanshinone.
Cryptotanshinone has obvious inhibitory effect on Staphylococcus aureus, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and β-lactamase-positive Staphylococcus aureus. Cryptotanshinone destroys the structure of the bacterial cell wall and the cell membrane, which leads to an increase in the permeability of the cell membrane, and then leads to the leakage of the cell contents;
At the same time, cryptotanshinone has some effect on the synthesis of bacterial protein, so that the protein in the bacterium is reduced, affecting and hindering the expression of intracellular proteins, which ultimately leads to the loss of normal physiological functions of bacteria.
2. Anti-tumour effect: It has cytotoxic activity against selected human cancer cell lines HeLa, HepG2 and OVCAR-3, and its IC50 is 17.2, 29.7 and 9.12 μmol/L respectively.
3. Cardiovascular protective effect: It has the effect of preventing coagulation and restoring blood circulation.
4. Anti-allergic effects: guided by the tracking of anti-allergic activity, tanshinone I, tanshinone IIA, cryptotanshinone and dihydrotanshinone I were isolated from Salvia miltiorrhiza and found to have the effects of interfering with IgE receptor-mediated PLCγ2 and MAPK tyrosine phosphorylation.
Among them, the activities of dihydrotanshinoneⅠ and cryptotanshinone were significant, with IC50s of 16 and 36 μM, respectively, which suggested that the dihydrofuran ring might play an important role in their activities.
