High Quality Ferulic Acid Raw Powder Details
Ferulic Acid Powder Usage and Synthesis.
Ferulic acid is an aromatic acid prevalent in the plant kingdom and is a component of corky plasma, which rarely exists in the free state in plants, and mainly forms bound states with oligosaccharides, polyamines, lipids and polysaccharides.
Uses and functions of Ferulic Acid.
Bacteriostatic effect of ferulic acid on the bacterial inhibition showed more broad-spectrum, it has been found that ferulic acid can inhibit the reproduction of pathogenic bacteria and 11 kinds of food spoilage microorganisms, such as Shigella sonnei, Bacillus pneumoniae, Enterobacteriaceae, Escherichia coli, Citrobacter, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and so on.
Food industry applications ferulic acid in addition to medicine is widely used, some countries have approved it as a food additive.
Japan has allowed for food antioxidants, the United States and some European countries allow the use of some of the higher amount of ferulic acid-containing herbs, coffee, vanilla beans, etc. as antioxidants.
Ferulic acid is mainly used in the food industry for the preparation of natural vanillin, antioxidants, preservatives, crosslinking agents and function promoters.
Ferulic acid has many health functions, such as scavenging free radicals, anti-thrombosis, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, inhibiting tumours, preventing high blood pressure, heart disease, and enhancing sperm viability, etc.; and its toxicity is low, easy to be metabolised by the human body, and it can be used as a food preservative, which has a wide range of uses in food and medicine.
Pharmacological Effect of Ferulic Acid.
Ferulic acid has the effect of inhibiting platelet agglutination, expectoration, and inhibition of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Clinically ferulic acid is mainly used in atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular, glomerular disease, pulmonary hypertension, diabetic vasculopathy, vasculitis and other vascular diseases such as adjuvant therapy as well as leukocyte and platelet reduction. It can be used in the treatment of migraine and vascular headache. As a leukocyte-boosting drug, this drug also has the effect of enhancing haematopoietic function. Therefore Ferulic acid can also be used in the treatment of leukocytes and and thrombocytopenia.
Preparation method of Bulk Ferulic Acid Powder.
(1)Extracted from plant materials with high ferulic acid content such as Angelica sinensis, vanilla bean, wheat bran and rice bran, and then obtained ferulic acid by alkaline hydrolysis or enzymatic method.
(2) Chemical synthesis: synthesised by Kno-evngael reaction using vanillin and malonic acid as raw materials.
(3) Biosynthesis method: Using some microorganisms, the precursor substances of ferulic acid are transformed to obtain ferulic acid.
