    Piperine is a broad-spectrum anticonvulsant with good antagonism against experimental electroconvulsions in mice, and with varying degrees of antagonism against convulsive seizures and audiogenic seizures induced by pentylenetetrazol, indoprostenol toxin, strychnine, and intracerebroventricular injections of cylinder argatoxin and glutamate.
