Equisetum Extract Powder Usage and Synthesis.

Mullein extract is the whole grass extract of Equisetumhiemale L., family Mulleinaceae. The main components are flavonoids, volatile oil and so on. It is often used in the treatment of cloudy eyes, tears in the wind, intestinal bleeding, bloody diarrhoea, prolapse of anus, malaria, sore throat, carbuncle and so on.

Uses of Equisetum Extract.

Clinically used in the treatment of warts, flat warts, jaundice hepatitis, colds, paediatric noma, urinary stones, blood in urine, blood in stools, haematochezia, dysentery and lead poisoning, hypertension, oral mucous membrane ulcers.

Dispersing wind-heat and retracting cataract. Used for wind-heat and redness of the eyes, tears in the wind, and cloudiness of the eyes.

Pharmacological Effect of Equisetum Extract.

1.Anti lipid peroxide effect of squid hydroalcoholic extract of adult mice liver, spleen, kidney tissue homogenate lipid peroxide production has a significant inhibition, and with its concentration increases and enhances.

2. Antiulcer effect with 50% squid extract eye drops, rabbits due to Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa corneal ulcers have therapeutic effect.
