The peripheral effects of scopolamine are similar to those of atropine; its inhibitory effect on salivary, bronchial and sweat gland secretion is stronger than that of atropine; its pupil-dilating and modulating paralytic effect on the eye is more rapid than that of atropine, but the effect disappears more quickly, and it has a weaker effect on cardiac, intestinal and bronchial smooth muscle. Uses of scopolamine powder.
