gabapentin Raw Materials powder gabapentin Details
gabapentin powder Usage and Synthesis.
Gabapentin can be used for neuralgia after herpes infection. For the adjuvant treatment of partial seizures in adults and children over 12 years of age with or without secondary general seizures. It can also be used for the adjuvant treatment of partial seizures in children aged 3 to 12 years.
Uses of gabapentin powder.
Gabapentin is indicated for the additional treatment of patients with epilepsy whose localized seizures are not satisfactorily controlled or tolerated by conventional antiepileptic drugs, as well as in patients with localized seizures followed by generalized seizures. Anti-anxiety drugs.
Pharmacological action of gabapentin powder.
Gabapentin was first developed by the American company Warner-Lanbert as an anti-epileptic drug and was first marketed in the UK in 1993. Gabapentin is a novel antiepileptic drug, it is a derivative of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), its pharmacological action is different from the existing antiepileptic drugs, recent studies have shown that gabapentin's action is to change GABA metabolism. Gabapentin has been shown to prevent epilepsy in various animal models, as well as in animal models of spasmodic, analgesic, and amyotrophic sclerosis. Gabapentin has a high affinity for novel binding sites in brain tissue, it can cross some barriers in the body via amino acid transfer bodies, and gabapentin has less behavioral and cardiovascular side effects than other anticonvulsants.
Gabapentin is similar in structure to gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), but it is not an agonist of GABA receptor, and the receptor that binds to neurons in brain tissue has not been identified, so its mechanism of action is not yet understood. Gabapentin is commonly used as an adjunct drug when traditional antiepileptic drugs are ineffective or patients cannot tolerate them. Studies have shown that when gabapentin is added to treatment, the frequency of seizures is significantly reduced, the long-term efficacy is satisfactory, and the adverse reactions are less. After seizure control, gabapentin alone is effective in only some patients. It is not effective for denervation attacks.
Product Method of Bulk gabapentin powder.
Gabapentine was obtained by the reaction of 1, 1-cyclohexane-7, monomethyl acid (I) with ethyl chloroformate dissolved in acetone containing triethylamine and sodium azide dissolved in water. The product (Ⅱ) was reflux in 20% hydrochloric acid for 3h.
