Antibiotic Raw Materials powder Thiamphenicol
Product Overview:
Sulfoxamycin is a kind of chloramphenicol broad-spectrum antibiotic, which has stronger action against gram-negative bacteria than positive bacteria. At room temperature, it is white to white crystalline powder or crystal, which can be quickly and completely absorbed by oral administration, and is excreted from urine mainly in its original form. Clinically, it is mainly used for the treatment of respiratory, urinary, hepatobiliary, typhoid and other intestinal surgery, obstetrics and gynecology and ent infections, especially for mild and moderate infections

Antibiotic Raw Materials powder Thiamphenicol Details
Thiamphenicol Powder Usage and Synthesis.
Thiamphenicol has a strong antibacterial effect on gram-positive bacteria such as pneumococcus and hemolytic streptococcus. It also has a strong antibacterial effect on Gram-positive bacteria such as gonococcus, meningococcus, pneumobacillus, Escherichia coli, Vibrio cholerae, dysenteribacter and influenzae. It also has a certain antibacterial effect on anaerobic bacilli, Rickettsiella and amoeba. Its mechanism of action is the same as chloramphenicol. It is mainly used to inhibit the synthesis of bacterial proteins. The drug is absorbed quickly by mouth, reaches the highest blood concentration within 2 hours, has a half-life of 5 hours, and is longer than chloramphenicol. Bacteria have complete cross-resistance between this product and chloramphenicol, and partial cross-resistance between this product and tetracycline drugs.
Sulfoxamycin also has a strong immunosuppressive effect and is an excellent immunosuppressive agent. Its mechanism of action is significantly different from other immunosuppressants, and its immunosuppressive effect is several times higher than chloramphenicol. It is an effective extender to reflect transplantation and surgical allograft.
Use of Thiamphenicol.
Thiamphenicol is a broad spectrum bacteriostatic agent. It can inhibit most gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. In particular, it has a strong effect on gram-negative bacteria, such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Typhoid, aerogenes, Klebsiella, Pasteurella, brucella, dysentery, etc., and Gram-positive bacteria such as anthrax, staphylococcus, corynebacterium, pneumococcus, streptococcus, enterococcus and actinomyces are also more sensitive to it. But not as effective as penicillin and tetracycline against gram-positive bacteria. It also has effects on leptospirosis, some mycoplasmosomes, some chlamydia and Rickettsia. The bacteria had complete cross-resistance with chloramphenicol and partial cross-resistance with tetracycline.
In vitro study of Thiamphenicol.
Thiamphenicol shows a significant post-antibiotic effect (PAE) (0.33 to 2.9h) on all pathogens studied (S. pneumoniae, S. aureus and Escherichia coli) and a powerful bactericidal effect against β-lactamase-positive and -negative H. influenzae . Thiamphenicol MICs for the microorganisms analyzed are: 32 mg/L ( S. aureus and E. coli ), 2 mg/L (S. pneumoniae) and 0.25 mg/L (H. influenzae). Thiamphenicol shows a good in vitro activity against difficult-to-treat multiply resistant pathogens.
