Paeonol Powder Usage and Synthesis.

Paeonol has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and antiallergic effects. The motor behavior of C. elegans is an index reflecting the basic function of its body system. It is simple to operate, sensitive, easy to observe, low cost and short cycle. The frequency of head swing and body bending of C. elegans are often used as indicators to analyze their motor behavior. Feeding behavior can reflect whether the feeding of nematodes is affected by exogenous drugs, and the change of reproductive ability reflects the effect of exogenous drugs on reproductive physiological function of nematodes.

The experimental results showed that paeonol at concentrations of 100 and 200mg /L had no acute toxic effect after 24h treatment of nematodes. Paeonol can improve the locomotion ability of the nematode's head swing and body bending, and improve the body's activity. 100 mg /L paeonol has the best effect, and paeonol has no effect on the energy intake of nematode, which can rule out the possibility of paeonol affecting the physiological function by reducing the swallowing frequency of nematode and thus reducing the energy restriction of food intake. No effect of paeonol on reproductive ability indicated that the nematodes were still in a healthy state during the treatment. Paeonol has no toxic effect on nematodes, and can significantly improve the locomotion ability of nematodes.
