Dehydrocholic Acid Powder CAS 81-23-2 Raw Material
Product Overview:
Dehydrocholic Acid, also known as dehydrocholic acid, is a synthetic derivative of bile acid. Dehydrocholic Acid Powder promotes bile secretion, increases water in bile, but does not increase solids, thus promoting the secretion of large amounts of less viscous bile, eliminating bile stagnation, preventing upstream biliary tract infections, as well as eliminating stones and promoting fat absorption. Dehydrocholic Acid Raw Material is used clinically for gallbladder and biliary tract dysfunction, post-cholecystectomy syndrome, chronic cholecystitis, cholelithiasis and certain liver disorders (e.g. chronic hepatitis).

Dehydrocholic Acid Powder CAS 81-23-2 Raw Material Details
Dehydrocholic Acid Powder Usage and Synthesis.
Dehydrocholic Acid, also known as dehydrocholic acid, is a synthetic derivative of bile acid.
Dehydrocholic Acid Powder promotes bile secretion, increases water in bile, but does not increase solids, thus promoting the secretion of large amounts of less viscous bile, eliminating bile stagnation, preventing upstream biliary tract infections, as well as eliminating stones and promoting fat Dehydrocholic Acid Raw
Dehydrocholic Acid Raw Material is used clinically for gallbladder and biliary tract dysfunction, post-cholecystectomy syndrome, chronic cholecystitis, cholecystolithiasis, and other diseases. Dehydrocholic Acid Raw Material is used clinically for gallbladder and biliary tract dysfunction, post-cholecystectomy syndrome, chronic cholecystitis, cholelithiasis and certain liver disorders (e.g. chronic hepatitis).
White soft or crystalline powder, odourless, bitter taste. Melting point for oral 231~242℃. Soluble in sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate solution, almost insoluble in water. But its sodium salt is easily soluble in water, bitter taste. Flat in nature, pungent and bitter in taste. Attributed to gallbladder, stomach meridian.
Uses and functions of Dehydrocholic Acid Powder.
Uses and functions of Dehydrocholic Acid Powder. Suitable for chronic cholecystitis, cholelithiasis, gallbladder and biliary tract dysfunction, cholestasis and prevention of biliary tract infection. Also used to promote T-tube drainage after biliary surgery and in constipation. Occasionally there is mild and transient diarrhoea, as well as dry mouth and skin itching.
With prolonged use, bile secretion is reduced and hepatic fatigue occurs. Occasionally, a temporary mild increase in serum transaminase activity is seen. It is contraindicated in patients with complete biliary tract obstruction, severe hepatic and renal dysfunction, heart failure and intestinal obstruction, and is contraindicated in children under 12 years of age. This product belongs to bile acids, used for gallbladder and biliary tract dysfunction, post-cholecystectomy contracture, chronic cholecystitis, cholelithiasis and chronic hepatitis.
- 1. It is used in the treatment of gallbladder and biliary tract dysfunction, post-cholecystectomy syndromes, chronic cholecystitis, gallstones and chronic hepatitis.
- 2. Used for dystocia. This product can dissolve dampness and benefit bile, and is used for dystocia caused by dampness stagnation in the middle Jiao and unfavourable bile viscera.
- 3. Used in plumpness. This product can dissolve dampness and harmonise the stomach, and can be used for the plumpness in the epigastrium and abdomen and poor appetite caused by dampness stagnation in the spleen and stomach or bile and stomach disharmony.
It can stimulate the liver cells to secrete a large amount of low specific gravity and low viscosity bile, and promote the drainage of bile, which is conducive to the discharge of bacteria, inflammatory products, toxins, bile sands and small stones in the biliary tract and gallbladder, and play a role in flushing and cleaning the biliary system.
Pharmacological Effects of Dehydrocholic Acid Powder.
Dehydrocholic Acid Powder is a choleretic agent, a synthetic derivative of bile acids, which promotes the secretion of bile, increases the water content of bile without increasing the solid content, thus promoting the secretion of large quantities of less viscous bile, eliminating biliary stagnation, and preventing ascending biliary tract infections. It also has the effect of eliminating stones and promoting fat digestion and absorption, but does not increase the absorption of vitamin K. It is well absorbed orally and excreted with faeces. Maximum efficacy is reached 20-30 minutes after injection, and the maintenance time is short.
Production method of Dehydrocholic Acid Powder.
Dehydrocholic Acid, Dehydrocholic Acid Powder and Dehydrocholic Acid Raw Material are produced by oxidation of bile acids.
The bile paste containing taurocholic acid and glycocholic acid was heated and boiled with sodium hydroxide solution, hydrolysed for 16h, acidified to pH3, filtered out the grey-brown lumps, put into hot water and boiled for 10min, cooled, filtered, washed with water, drained, and dried at 60-70℃ to obtain bile acid. Cholic acid into acetic acid and sodium acetate solution, at 10-20 ℃ through the chlorine, until all the white solid precipitation, with a large number of distilled water decantation, filtration, drying, the dehydrocholic acid crude, ethanol purification to finished products.
