Cefixime Raw Material Cefixime Powder Details
Cefixime Powder Usage and Synthesis.
Cefixime Powder, also known as aminothioxime cephalosporin, sefoxime, sefoxime, belongs to the third generation of oral cephalosporin antibiotics, with a broad antibacterial spectrum, Cefixime CAS 79350-37-1 has a certain antibacterial effect on some gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria.Cefixime Raw Materials are clinically used for the treatment of By Streptococcus spp. (except enterococci), Streptococcus pneumoniae, gonococci, Escherichia coli, and Cataplasma burgdorferi.
The mechanism of Cefixime Powder is mainly through the inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis, which can exert a bactericidal effect. And dispersible tablets are tablets that can be rapidly disintegrated and evenly dispersed in water, with the characteristics of easy to take, rapid disintegration, fast absorption and high bioavailability. Therefore, Cefixime dispersible tablets are more quickly absorbed than capsules and tablets.
Cefixime Raw Materials is used for the treatment of:
- respiratory infections, such as pneumonia, tonsillitis, etc.
- Urinary and genital tract infections. Such as gonococcal urethritis.
- Intra-abdominal infections.
- Scarlet fever, otitis media, paranasal sinusitis, etc.
Application/Function of Cefixime Powder.
- 1, respiratory system infections, such as pneumonia, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, bronchiectasis (when infected), secondary infections of chronic respiratory infectious diseases, acute and chronic bronchitis, etc.
- 2, Urinary and genital tract infections. Such as gonococcal urethritis, cervicitis, pyelonephritis, cystitis, gonorrhea, etc.
- 3, intra-abdominal infections (including cholecystitis, cholangitis, peritonitis).
- 4, Scarlet fever, otitis media, paranasal sinusitis, etc.
Mechanism of action of Cefixime Powder.
Cefixime CAS 79350-37-1 has an antibacterial mechanism of action similar to that of other third-generation cephalosporins, inhibiting cell wall synthesis in dividing bacterial cells by binding to one or more penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), which are located in the bacterial cytoplasmic membrane and may be catalytic enzymes at the end of bacterial cell wall synthesis.
The effect of Cefixime Powder results in The effect of Cefixime Powder is to cause bacteria to form a defective cell wall that is unstable to osmotic pressure, thus acting as an antibacterial agent. Different strains have their own unique PBPs, and the different affinity of cefixime for different PBPs is the main factor affecting its antibacterial spectrum activity.
Drug interactions of Cefixime Powder:
- 1、Synergistic antibacterial effect on certain sensitive strains when combined with aminoglycoside antibiotics.
- 2. It has been reported that aspirin may increase the blood concentration of cefixime.
- 3. Combination with aminoglycosides or other cephalosporins may increase nephrotoxicity.
- 4、Co-administration with strong diuretics such as furosemide may enhance nephrotoxicity.
- 5、There may be mutual antagonism with chloramphenicol.
- 6. Propofol can prolong the excretion of cefixime and increase the blood concentration.
