5'-Adenylic acid is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C10H14N5O7P that has a variety of biological activities. It can trigger a cascade reaction by stimulating Gαs protein-coupled adenylate cyclase, leading to the intracellular aggregation of the second messenger cyclic Adenosine monophosphate (cAMP).
Additionally, 5'-adenosine can be used as a substrate that is catalyzed by deoxyadenylase to produce deoxyadenosine acid. 5'-adenosine acid is present in liver, kidney, and microorganisms and is highly stable.
In addition, 5'-adenylic acid has antitumor effects, inhibiting the growth and proliferation of tumor cells.
Uses of Adenosine 5'-monophosphate.
A naturally occurring nucleotide that facilitates the binding of APS reductase inhibitors and activates adenosine receptor agonists.
