    Calcium Gluconate Powder Usage and Synthesis.

    Calcium gluconate belongs to organic acid calcium, mainly used for the prevention and treatment of calcium deficiency (such as osteoporosis, osteogenesis imperfecta, rickets, and calcium supplementation for children, pregnant and lactating women, menopausal women, the elderly), and acute hypocalcemia, alkalosis, and tetany due to hypoparathyroidism.

    Other uses are as follows:

    1, Acute hypocalcemia hypocalcemia, refers to the serum calcium concentration is less than 2 mmol / L. For acute hypocalcemia with tetany, seizures, laryngospasm and other acute hypocalcemic conditions, all need active intravenous calcium supplementation therapy. It is recommended to use 10% calcium gluconate 10~20 ml of slow intravenous push, no more than 5 ml per minute, usually can make the symptoms disappear immediately; if the symptoms recur, can be repeated in a few hours after the administration of the drug.

    2、Hypermagnesemia hypermagnesemia, refers to serum magnesium higher than 1.25mmol/L. Hypermagnesemia mainly occurs in patients with renal dysfunction. Long-term administration of magnesium-containing antacids and magnesium sulfate for diarrhea, especially in patients with renal dysfunction, can lead to hypermagnesemia.     Product Method of Bulk Calcium Gluconate Powder.

    Air-catalyzed oxidation method takes starch double enzyme hydrolysate as raw material, adjusts pH to 9~10 with dilute lye, adds palladium-carbon catalyst, passes air oxidation at 45~50℃, and flows with dilute lye to maintain pH. After the reaction, static filtration, filtrate concentration to the relative density of 1.34 ~ 1.38, cooling crystallization, separation of sodium gluconate. The mother liquor was decolorized, concentrated to a relative density of 1.4 ~ 1.42, and cooled to crystallize and separate.

    Sodium gluconate is added to water to form a 35% solution, and pure gluconic acid solution is obtained by removing sodium ions with 732-type cation exchange resin. Neutralize to neutral with calcium carbonate at 70~75℃, add appropriate amount of activated carbon decolorization, static, filtration.

    The filtrate is concentrated to a relative density of 1.148 ~ 1.15, static, crystallization, separation, and washed with a small amount of water to obtain calcium gluconate; mother liquor decolorized and concentrated to a relative density of 1.16 ~ 1.18, static, crystallization, separation. The yield to starch was about 77.8%.
