Zinc Lactate is a white rhombohedral crystalline powder, odorless, soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol. Zinc Lactate contains 22.2% zinc. Zinc lactate, chemical formula Zn(C3H5O3)2-3H2O, molecular weight 297.47, white rhombohedral crystals or powder (dextrorotatory), containing three molecules of water of crystallization. Soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol and ether. When heated to 100 ℃, it loses crystalline water. 1 part of zinc lactate can be dissolved in 60 parts of cold water or 6 parts of hot water, the zinc content of this product is 22.2%.

Scope of use and dosage: 130-250mg/kg for dairy products; 113-318mg/kg for baby food; 40-80mg/kg for cereals and their products.It is produced by crystallization of lactic acid and zinc hydroxide. It is mainly used for medicine, which is used as antiepileptic agent.

Product Method of Bulk Zinc Lactate powder.

1.Complex decomposition method

Add 13.0g of calcium lactate (pentahydrate) and 12.1g of zinc sulfate (heptahydrate) into 100mL of water, stirring and heating reflux reaction. At the end of the reaction, while hot, filtration and washing with water to remove calcium sulfate precipitate (light blue-white powder), the filtrate is a milky white semi-transparent liquid, cooled and left to stand that is white crystals precipitated. 2. Neutralization method
