Guar Gum Raw Materials Powder CAS 9000-30-0
Product Overview:
Guar gum is a vegetable gum that can be extracted from the fruit of the carob tree and from guar beans. The carob tree is a perennial shrub that grows mainly along the Mediterranean coast, and the guar bean is an annual legume that grows mainly in desert-like areas such as India, Pakistan, and Texas, U.S.A. It is suitable for growing in areas with a large difference in temperature between day and night and plenty of rainfall, and basically all the guar gum in use today is extracted from the guar bean. After the ripe guar beans have been dehulled, they are sent to a milling and processing plant, where the guar beans are separated into endosperm flakes, endosperm, and skins by means of a thermochemical treatment. The germ is often applied as animal feed with a high protein content. The endosperm flakes are processed into guar gum at the milling plant.

Guar Gum Raw Materials Powder CAS 9000-30-0 Details
Guar Gum Powder Usage and Synthesis.
1. Biological immobilization carrier material: guar gum can be used for the preparation of immobilized tyrosinase biofilm.
2. Application in the field of controlled release of drugs: guar gum is a natural polymer of galactomannan class, which is only degraded by bacteria in the colon area, and it is an important candidate material for targeted colonic drug release carriers, but its high water solubility and swelling lead to the release of drugs in the stomach, so that the application is limited.
3. Application in fishery and environmental protection: Guar gum as a binder added to the feed obviously enhances the particle stability and mechanical strength of fish feces, facilitates the timely cleaning of feces, and mitigates the hazards to the fish population.
Uses and functions of Guar Gum.
1. Food grade: Frozen food: prevent ice slag generation, increase the stability of freezing. Baked food: maintain humidity, improve texture. Beverage: improve taste, stabilize particle suspension. Salad dressings: thickening agent, replacing oil. Cheese and cream: texture improvement. Cooked Meat Foods: Maintains watery juices and adds oiliness. Vegetarian meat products: replacing fatty ingredients. Maintain moisture. Pet products: to increase the sense of oil, maintain moisture.
2. Industrial grade: oil well fracturing and other drilling industries. Carpet, textile printing and dyeing and leather chemicals. Building materials, cement, paint, porcelain tile. Paper industry, pharmaceutical industry. Shampoo, detergent, skin care products, cosmetics. Mosquito adhesive. Latex paint, exterior latex paint.
Preparation of Guar Gum.
Guar gum is made from the endosperm part of guar beans after seed peeling and germ removal by cleaning, drying and crushing with water, then hydrolyzed under pressure and precipitated with 20% ethanol, centrifugal separation, drying, crushing and obtained. Commercial gum is generally white to light yellow-brown free-flowing powder, close to no smell, nor any other odor, generally containing 75% to 85% of the polysaccharide, 5% to 6% of the protein, 2% to 3% of the fiber and 1% of the ash.
Product method of Bulk Guar Gum Powder.
Made from the endosperm portion of the seeds of the legume guar rCyamposi5£ to a ragonolobus or c. psDraloides] after peeling and de-embryoating the seeds, drying and crushing with water, carrying out pressurized hydrolysis followed by precipitation with 20% ethanol, centrifugal separation and then drying and crushing.
