Cholecalciferol Raw materials Powder Vitamin D3 CAS:67-97-0
Product Overview:
Vitamin D3, also known as cholecalciferol, is a type of vitamin D that has been shown to be the true active form of vitamin D in the body. There are at least 10 known forms of vitamin D, but the most important are vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol) and vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol). Cholecalciferol, also known as vitamin D3, is the most important form of the vitamin D family and primarily regulates calcium and phosphorus metabolism in the body; vitamin D3 is converted from 7-dehydrocholesterol in the skin by ultraviolet light exposure.

Cholecalciferol Powder Usage and Synthesis.
1) Increase the body's absorption of calcium and phosphorus to saturate plasma calcium and plasma phosphorus levels;
2) Promotes growth and calcification of bones and sound teeth;
3) increasing phosphorus absorption through the intestinal wall and increasing phosphorus reabsorption through the renal tubules;
4) maintaining normal levels of citrate in the blood;
5) preventing the loss of amino acids through the kidneys.
Uses of Cholecalciferol.
Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin. Known to have vitamin D effect of more than a dozen kinds of compounds, no series of sterol derivatives, which has important practical significance is vitamin D2 and vitamin D3 two.
The world to D3 is the main, vitamin D "international standard material" is also D3 pure crystallization. The main function of vitamin D is the metabolism of calcium and phosphorus, and it is difficult to promote the absorption of calcium and phosphorus as well as the calcification of bones. When the human body lacks D, the ability to absorb calcium and phosphorus decreases, and the level of calcium and phosphorus in the blood decreases, so that calcium and phosphorus can not be deposited in the bone tissue, and even bone salts will dissolve, hindering the calcification of bones.
Children get rickets if they lack it, and adults get osteochondrosis. In Japan, the production and use of D2 is high, with 30% of the demand for medicine, 65% for feed additives, and 5% for food additives. According to the "Hygienic Standard for the Use of Food Nutritional Enrichment (1993)" issued by the Ministry of Health of China, D2 and D3 as nutritional supplements can be used in liquid milk, margarine, dairy products and baby food.
VitaminD3 acts through a receptor that is a member of a family of ligand-dependent transcription factors that regulate the proliferation and differentiation of normal and cancerous cells, with anti-proliferative and anti-metastatic effects on breast, colon and prostate cancer. Activated VitaminD receptors in the intestine and bone also maintain calcium absorption and homeostasis.
Vitamin D3 can maintain the normal metabolism of calcium and phosphorus, and promote the body's absorption of calcium and phosphorus. The utilization rate of vitamin D2 and D3 in pigs is equal, but the utilization rate of vitamin D2 in poultry is only 1/40-1/30 of that of D3.
When vitamin D3 is deficient, eggshells become thin, egg production rate decreases and rickets occurs. Dosage 1000-1500IU/kg.
Characteristic of Cholecalciferol.
Product Method of Bulk Cholecalciferol Powder.
Vitamin D3 occurs naturally in liver, milk and egg yolks, and is produced industrially by extracting 7-dehydrocholesterol, which cannot be absorbed by the human body, from vegetable oils or yeast, and solving it in chloroform or cyclohexane, then converting it to vitamin D3 in quartz glass flasks by ultraviolet light irradiation.
