Pyridoxine raw Powder CAS 65-23-6 Details
Pyridoxine Usage and Synthesis.
The main function of vitamin B6 is to form coenzymes in the form of active pyridoxal phosphate and participate in metabolism, playing an important role in reactions such as amino acid transfer, decarboxylation, and amino acid decomposition.
It also participates in the metabolism of fats and carbohydrates. The antagonists of vitamin B6 include hydroxypyrimidine, deoxypyridoxine, and isoniazid. Insufficient vitamin B6 and the presence of antagonists can lead to deficiency syndrome.
Uses of Pyridoxine.
Pyridoxine is a derivative of vitamin B6 that is soluble in water and ethanol, but is easily destroyed in alkaline solutions. It is converted to pyridoxal and pyridoxamine in the body and has activity as a microbial growth factor.
Pyridoxine plays an important role in the central nervous system, and a deficiency of pyridoxine can lead to spasms and anemia. Pyridoxine is also involved in energy production, amino acid and fat metabolism, and central nervous system activity. Pyridoxine is also commonly used as a food additive, such as in beverages, candies and breads.
Pharmacology of Pyridoxine.
Pyridoxine reacts with ATP in the body to produce physiologically active pyridoxal phosphate and pyridoxamine phosphate. It is a coenzyme of aminotransferase, decarboxylase, and racemase of certain amino acids and participates in many metabolic processes. Suitable for the prevention and treatment of vitamin B6 deficiency, preventing and treating isoniazid and cycloserine poisoning; It can also be used for vomiting caused by pregnancy, radiation sickness, and anticancer drugs, as well as seborrheic dermatitis. It can also reduce the toxicity of colchicine.
Product Method of Pyridoxine.
It exists in rice husks, sugarcane, yeast, malt, etc. It can be synthesized from multiple pathways.
