Lutin Powder Usage and Synthesis.

Luteinising hormone is a steroid hormone containing 21 carbon atoms secreted by the luteal cells of the ovary and an intermediate product in the synthesis of all steroid hormones, belonging to one of the progestins.

There are two types of crystals, namely α-type and β-type, two types of crystals have the same physiological activity, α-type is precipitated from dilute ethanol, for the orthorhombic crystal system of white prismatic crystals, β-type for the orthorhombic crystal system of white needle-like crystals, both are insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether, chloroform, acetone, dioxin and concentrated sulfuric acid.

Uses and functions of Lutin.

Progesterone has a significant morphological effect in vivo on the oestrogen-primed endometrium, which is necessary for the maintenance of pregnancy.

Function of Lutin Powder.

1, Progesterone can maintain pregnancy in female animals and lead to a series of physiological changes in pregnant animals, such as inhibiting oestrus in female animals.

Product Method of Bulk Lutin Powder.

Obtained by the oxidation of Haumeaenolone.

Dry toluene into the dry reaction pot, add cyclohexanone and Haumea enol ketone, stirring to dissolve, evaporate toluene dehydration to exhaustion, quickly add aluminium isopropanol, oxidation reaction at 115 ℃ for 2h, cooled to 80 ℃ or so, under stirring to add 5% dilute sulfuric acid, static stratification, separated from the aqueous layer, the toluene layer is washed with water to neutral and then carry out steam distillation, evaporate the toluene and cyclohexanone. Cooling, filtration, filter residue with petroleum ether stirred into slurry, filtration, washed with petroleum ether, dried progesterone crude.

The crude product was dissolved in ethanol, decolourised with activated carbon and recrystallised as a finished product with a yield of 80%.
