Spermine materials Spermine Powder Details
Spermine Powder Usage and Synthesis.
Spermine is an important biological compound with a variety of biological functions. It was originally found in semen, hence the name spermine. The chemical composition of spermine includes O,O-dimethyl phosphoramidothioate and others.
In living organisms, spermine has various roles, such as regulating gene expression, maintaining cell membrane stability, and antioxidant.
In addition, spermine is associated with sperm motility and fertilisation. Therefore, spermine has important research value in the fields of biochemistry and reproductive biology.
Uses of Spermine.
Mainly used as intermediate of methamidophos and acetamidophos
It can be used as organophosphorus pesticide intermediates. At the same time, it is a typical anionic surfactant with good penetration, emulsification, foam and decontamination ability, which is widely used in chemical industry, pesticide, fibre, electric ferry, mineral processing and other industries, especially suitable for the manufacture of cosmetics, toothpaste, shampoo and so on. It is suitable for washing wool and silk in textile industry.
Mixed NMDA glutamate receptor agonist/antagonist at polyamine sites. Neuroprotective effects have been observed at high concentrations (1 mM), while neurotoxicity can be observed at low concentrations.
It enhances the counteracting effect at the strychnine-insensitive glycine site. Plays a major role in cell proliferation and differentiation; inhibits neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS).
Spermine, putrescine and spermine make up the family of polyamines (polycations), which are necessary for the growth and survival of the vast majority of living cells.
Polyamines interact with negatively charged molecules such as proteoglycans, glycatedproteins and nucleic acids (DNA and RNA). Biological polyamines have been found to modulate protein synthesis at different levels. This effect can be explained by polyamines binding and affecting the secondary structure of tRNA, mRNA and rRNA.
Spermine also helps to stabilise the nucleic acid helix structure and make up glycosylated proteins such as thehistones. Spermine and spermine are components of various nucleic acid transfection protocols.
In vitro studies of Spermine.
Spermine (NSC 268508) at physiologically relevant concentrations inhibits ROS-induced DNA damage, with maximal inhibition observed at 1 to 2 mM. These concentrations are well within the estimates for the physiological concentrations of spermine.
