Sodium Molybdate Powder Usage and Synthesis.
Sodium molybdate is an important molybdenum compound with a wide range of applications. It can be used to prepare molybdenum salts, dyes, pigments, catalysts, corrosion inhibitors and so on.
In addition, sodium molybdate can be used as metal corrosion inhibitor with low level of environmental pollution, which is a new type of water treatment agent with more applications.
In agriculture, sodium molybdate is one of the earliest micronutrient fertilizers applied to provide plant nutrients. In industry, sodium molybdate can be used in the manufacture of flame retardants and metal-free refrigeration system inhibitors.
Uses of Sodium Molybdate.
Molybdate has low toxicity and low level of environmental pollution, which is a new type of water treatment agent with more applications at present.
In order to get a better retardation effect, molybdate is often compounded with polyphosphate, gluconate, zinc salt, benzotriazole, which not only reduces the amount of molybdate used, but also improves the corrosion inhibition effect, the amount of molybdate after compounding is reduced from 200 to 500mg/L to 4 to 6mg/L.
Molybdate film-forming process, there must be dissolved oxygen present, without calcium ions (or other divalent metal ions). Molybdate is thermally stable and can be used in circulating water systems with high heat flow density and localized overheating.
