Hydroxyethyl cellulose is a kind of thickener, binder, emulsifier, suspending agent, film-forming agent, water-retaining agent, anticorrosive agent and stabilizer widely used in the fields of construction, daily chemicals and petroleum extraction.
In emulsion paint, hydroxyethyl cellulose can improve the viscosity of the paint, as well as emulsification, dispersion, stabilization and water retention.
In agriculture, hydroxyethyl cellulose can be used as an adhesive and thickener for water-based sprays, which reduces the drifting of chemicals and improves the use of foliar sprays. In fire protection, hydroxyethyl cellulose can be used as a thickener for fireproof materials.
