Supply L-arabinose raw Materials Powder L-arabinose
Product Overview:
L-arabinose, also known as arabinose and pectinose, is a kind of aldehyde pentose. In nature, L-arabinose rarely exists in the form of monosaccharides. It usually exists in the form of heteropolysaccharides in gum, hemicellulose, pectin acid, bacterial polysaccharides and certain glycosides in combination with other monosaccharides. It has high stability to heat and acid. As a low-calorie sweetener, L-arabinose has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan to be included in health food additives.

Uses of L-arabinose.
L-arabinose is a commonly used food additive, also known as pectin sugar, L-arabinose, L-arabinose, and it has the appearance of orthorhombic prism crystals at room temperature; melting point 159.5℃; density α-D2041.585, β-D4201.625; optical rotation [α]D20+105° (C=3, in water); very soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in ethanol.
It can be obtained by partial hydrolysis of mespritegum gum. Alternatively, crushed corn cobs are treated with 4% acetic acid at 100℃ for 2 hours, separated, washed with water, and then treated with 1% H2SO4 at 100℃, the hydrolyzate is concentrated, separated, treated with charcoal under vacuum, and demineralized by ion exchange to obtain 5-5.5% L-arabinose.
