Supply Alpha-cyclodextrin raw Materials Powder α-Cyclodextrine
Product Overview:
Cyclodextrins (usually referred to as CD) are a class of cyclic compounds generated by starch or polysaccharides under the action of cyclodextrin glucosyltransferase, which are composed of D-pyranose glucose units connected end to end through alpha-1,4-glycosidic bonds. Common molecules have 6, 7 and 8 glucose units, which are called α-cyclodextrin, β-cyclodextrin and γ-cyclodextrin respectively.
Since α-cyclodextrin can form inclusion complexes with many guest molecules, thereby changing the physical and chemical properties of the guest molecules such as solubility and stability, it has a wide range of applications in food, medicine, agriculture, textiles, environmental protection, cosmetics, biotechnology and analytical chemistry.

Alpha-cyclodextrin Powder Usage and Synthesis.
1. Use in the pharmaceutical industry Cyclodextrin can form inclusion complexes (encapsulation) with drugs, which can make
(1) unstable drugs stabilized;
(2) deliquescent, sticky or liquid drugs powdered;
(3) poorly soluble or insoluble drugs solubilized (solubilized), etc.
2. Use in the pesticide industry Cyclodextrin inclusion stabilization can make some pesticides durable in storage and improve insecticide efficacy. 3. Use in the food industry Cyclodextrin is used in the food industry to have the following effects:
(1) Elimination and masking of specific odors;
(2) Improvement and modification of food tissue structure;
(3) Reduction and removal of bitter taste;
(4) Antioxidant effect;
(5) Preservation and optimization of flavor.
Uses of Alpha-cyclodextrin.
As a new type of pharmaceutical excipient, beta-cyclodextrin is mainly used to increase the stability of drugs, prevent drug oxidation and decomposition, improve the solubility and bioavailability of drugs, reduce the toxicity and side effects of drugs, and cover up the peculiar smell and odor of drugs.
In food manufacturing, it is mainly used to eliminate peculiar smell and odor, improve the stability of spices, flavors and pigments, enhance emulsification and moisture resistance, and improve the taste of food. It is a good stabilizer, emulsifier and flavor corrector in the pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics manufacturing industries.
Application Areas of Alpha-cyclodextrin.
Product Method of Bulk Alpha-cyclodextrin Powder.
Cyclodextrin was discovered by Villers in 1891, and α and β cyclodextrin were successfully separated at the beginning of this century. In 1972-1973, the bacteria that produced cyclodextrin enzyme (i.e. cyclodextrin glucose translocase, abbreviated as CGT-ase) were discovered, especially the alkaliphilic bacteria, which was of great significance for the large-scale production of cyclodextrin.
Using starch processed from potatoes, corn, wheat, etc. as raw materials, cyclodextrin can be obtained through the following process: starch suspension [liquefaction at 70-80℃] [reaction with ethanol at 60℃], heating inactivation, filtration, concentration and drying.
