trimethylglycine Raw Materials powder Betaine Details
trimethylglycine powder Usage and Synthesis.
Betaine is a quaternary ammonium alkaloid. Betaine Anhydrous is a new type of fine chemicals, which can be widely used in food, medicine, daily chemicals, printing and dyeing, chemical industry and other fields. Betaine Anhydrous is a kind of high efficient and high quality nutritional additive. Pharmaceutical grade betaine can be used in Chemicalbook in medicine, cosmetics, food, juice industry, and dental materials, in addition betaine can also be used in fermentation industry. Anhydrous Betaine is used in health food with the effects of bright eyes, anti-fatty liver, kidney protection, treatment of atherosclerosis and other cardiovascular diseases.
Uses and functions of trimethylglycine.
Feed grade anhydrous betaine can be used as feed additives, is a natural and efficient methyl donor, can partially replace methionine and choline chloride, reduce feed costs, reduce pig backfat, improve lean meat rate and carcass quality.
It is betaine-type amphoteric surfactant, used as levelling agent for dyeing of reducing dyes.
Physiological characteristics of trimethylglycine.
Product Method of Bulk trimethylglycine.
(1) Extraction method. The mother liquor of beet sugar production contains 12-15 per cent betaine, which can be directly recovered. Heat 300 parts of mother liquor to 50℃, add 80 parts of calcium chloride, stir for a certain time and then filter while hot. The filtrate is acidified with hydrochloric acid and then cooled to 20-30°C for crystallisation, and about 30 parts of betaine are obtained after separation and drying.
(2) Synthesis method. It is obtained by quaternising chloroacetic acid with trimethylamine. 195 parts of 48.6% aqueous chloroacetic acid solution are neutralised into sodium chloroacetic acid solution with 16% sodium hydroxide solution, and then mixed with 360 parts of 16.4% trimethylamine solution, and aired at 50°C for 1h, and then aired again at 80°C for 1h. The reactants are diluted and adsorbed by ionic resin (Dowex-50-8), and eluted with ammonia to obtain betaine solution. The solution of betaine was eluted with ammonia. The product was then concentrated and crystallised under vacuum.
