    Ferrocene Usage and Synthesis.

    Product Method of Ferrocene.

    It is obtained by heating iron powder and cyclopentadiene in nitrogen atmosphere at 300℃, or by reacting anhydrous ferrous chloride with sodium cyclopentadiene in tetrahydrofuran, or by electrolytic synthesis method, the synthesis of ferrocene using cyclopentadiene, ferrous chloride and diethylamine as raw materials can be operated according to the following method. Under stirring, anhydrous ferric chloride (FeCL3) is put into tetrahydrofuran in several times, and then iron powder is added, and heated under nitrogen protection and reflux for 4.5h to get ferrous chloride solution.

Recrystallised with pentane or cyclohexane, or sublimation method to put forward the purity, that is, the refined product yield 73-84%.
