Iodoxanol belongs to the United States General Pharmaceutical Company (GE) products, and the iodoxanol put into the market in China is produced by Sweden and is a class B medical insurance drug. Ioxanol is an isoosmotic contrast agent with low concentration. Iodixanol Powder Usage and Synthesis.
Iodixanol, chemical name 5,5'‑((2‑ hydroxyl ‑1,3‑ propane) bis (acetylimide) bis (N,N ‑2, 3‑ hydroxy propyl) bis (N,N ‑2, 3‑ hydroxy propyl)‑2,4,6‑ triiodol ‑1,3‑ phenylphthalamide, developed by Nycomed, Norway, It is a new type of non-ionic X-ray contrast agent (290mosmol/kg osmotic pressure) and is the only contrast agent that is isotonic with plasma when applied intravascular.
Uses of Iodixanol.
X-ray contrast medium. Angiocardiography, cerebrovascular angiography (routine with i.a. DSA), peripheral arteriography (routine with i.a. DSA), abdominal angiography (i.a. DSA), urography, venography, and CT-enhanced examination are performed in adults.
Pharmacological action of Iodixanol.
