Pharmaceutical Etoposide raw Powder
Product Overview:
Etoposide chemical name 9-(4,6-O-ethylidene-β-D-glucopyranoside)-4′-demethyl epigallocatechin. Also known as etoposide, pedunculated ethyl glucoside, pedunculated onychotoxin, onychotoxin, etc., is a greyish-white crystalline powder, odourless. When exposed to light, heat easily discoloured, moisture attraction. Almost insoluble in water, slightly soluble in methanol, dimethyl sulfoxide, slightly soluble in ethanol. Etoposide is a new semi-synthetic epigallocatechin derivative, is a mitotic inhibitor, so that the cell stops in the middle of mitosis, for the cell cycle-specific anticancer drugs.

Pharmaceutical Etoposide raw Powder Details
Etoposide Usage and Synthesis.
Etoposide, an organic compound with the chemical formula C29H32O13, is a cell cycle-specific antitumour drug that acts on DNA topoisomerase II to form a drug-enzyme-DNA stable reversible complex that hinders DNA repair. It was found that this complex could be reversed with the removal of the drug , resulting in the repair of damaged DNA and reducing the cytotoxic effect. Therefore, prolonging the administration time of the drug may improve the antitumour activity.
Uses of Etoposide.
An anti-tumour reagent that binds to topoisomerase II and DNA to enhance DNA double- and single-stranded shearing and reversible inhibition of deregulation. Blocks the cell cycle in the S and G2 phases; induces apoptosis in normal and tumour cell lines; inhibits the synthesis of the oncoprotein Mdm2, causing apoptosis in tumour lines that overexpress Mdm2. Mainly used in the treatment of small cell lung cancer, testicular tumours, malignant lymphoma and acute leukaemia. It also has some efficacy in neuroblastoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, ovarian cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, gastric cancer and breast cancer.
