Stigmasterol Raw Materials Stigmasterol Raw Powder Details
Stigmasterol Powder Usage and Synthesis.
Soya Sterol, a substance obtained through physical purification, is characterised by high nutritional value and strong physiological activity. It has a wide range of uses in medicine, cosmetics, animal growth agents and paper processing, printing, textiles, food and other fields.
Uses of Stigmasterol.
A phytosterol with a chemical structure similar to cholesterol. It has anticancer, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects.
Soya Sterol is a physically purified substance with high nutritional value and strong physiological activity. It has a wide range of applications in the fields of medicine, cosmetics, animal growth agents, paper processing, printing, textile, food and so on.
Soy sterols have various physiological functions in the human body, such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-tumour, lipid-lowering, anti-atherosclerosis and other effects.
In addition, Soy Sterols have the effect of regulating the immune system, promoting wound healing, and inhibiting allergic reactions. In traditional Chinese medicine, Soy Sterol is often used in treatments to strengthen the spleen and moisten the lungs, relieve cough and regulate menstruation. For use, decoction is taken internally at a dose of 30-60g.
Preparation of Stigmasterol.
1 Ethyl acetate was used as the extraction agent, and soybean oil was used as the raw material for the ultrasound-assisted extraction of soya stanols from soybean oil.The extraction process was optimised by orthogonal test L9(34) on the basis of a one-way experiment. The results showed that the optimum process conditions for ultrasound-assisted extraction of soya stanols from soybean oil were: ultrasound temperature 50°C, ultrasound time 40 min and liquid/feed ratio 19 mL/g.Under this optimum conditions, the highest extraction rate of soy sterol could reach 34.15%.
2. Due to the extreme structural similarity, it is a difficult and tedious task to isolate and remove β-sitosterol, rapeseed sterol and rapeseed stanol from phytosterols to obtain the higher purity of monomeric soya sterols.
In 1906, Windaus and Hauth proposed to use the chemical reaction of brominated acetate to achieve the enrichment of legosterol. Soysterol was refluxed in acetic anhydride to produce soy sterol acetate. This is then brominated with excess bromine in dichloropropene to produce 5,6,22,23-tetrabromo-stigmasterol acetate and 5,6-dibromo-beta-sitosterol acetate, which are slightly or relatively soluble. Soy sterol acetyl tetrabromide can be crystallised in ethanol and treated with zinc powder followed by saponification, i.e. debromination and deacetylation, to regenerate the soy sterol.
Finally, it can be crystallised in acetone to obtain pure stigmasterol, so as to achieve the purpose of separation.
