Monobenzone Raw Materials Powder
Product Overview:
Monobenzone is a topically applied depigmenting agent used to treat hyperpigmentation, such as various pigmented spots, age spots, and melanoma, with significant results. It can decompose melanin in the skin, prevent the production of melanin in the skin, so that the skin to restore a healthy colour, and does not destroy melanocytes, toxicity is very light, usually made of ointment or application, has been included in the U.S. Pharmacopoeia, our country has not yet been produced.

Monobenzone Raw Materials Powder Details
Monobenzone Powder Usage and Synthesis.
Monobenzone was synthesised under microwave radiation using hydroquinone, sodium hydroxide and benzyl chloride as raw materials and N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) as solvent. The effects of molar ratio of reactants, microwave radiation power and radiation time on the yield of monobenzone were investigated using one-way experimental method.
The experimental results showed that the yield of Monobenzone was 63.79% when n(benzyl chloride):n(hydroquinone):n(sodium hydroxide)=1:1.4:1.4, DMF15 mL, microwave radiation power of 320 W, and radiation time of 60s.
Uses and functions of Monobenzone.
Monobenzone (monobenzone) is a topical depigmenting agent used to treat hyperpigmentation, such as various discolourations, age spots, melanoma, etc. It is very effective.
It can decompose melanin in the skin, prevent the production of melanin in the skin, and restore the skin to a healthy colour without destroying the melanocytes, with very low toxicity, usually made into ointment or application, which has been included in the United States Pharmacopoeia.
Depigmentant 4-Benzyloxyphenol is a topically applied depigmentant that breaks down melanin (melamin) in the skin and prevents the production of melanin in the skin, restoring the skin to a healthy colour without destroying the melanocytes, thus acting as a depigmentant. Clinically, it is mainly used for the treatment of hyperpigmentation, such as all kinds of discolouration, age spots, vitiligo, melanoma and so on.
Used as pharmaceutical intermediates
1.Improve epidermal blood microcirculation, activate melanin cell regeneration, enhance immune function;
2.Whitening and spot removal.
Pharmacological Effects of Monobenzone Raw.
Monobenzone is a colourless solid classified as a hydroquinone monobenzyl ether. Monobenzone is soluble in alcohol, benzene and ether, and almost insoluble in water.
Monobenzone is a decolourising agent that has the effect of enhancing the rate of elimination of melanin secreted by skin cells, and studies have shown that the molecular mechanism of its action may be related to tyrosinase. Decolourising agent.
Production method of Bulk Monobenzone Powder.
In a 100mL conical flask, 2.63g (0.028mol) of hydroquinone was added, 1.12g (0.028mol) of sodium hydroxide was weighed, and 8mL of water was added, until the sodium hydroxide was dissolved and then added dropwise to the conical flask containing hydroquinone, and shaken well, and then added 15mL of DMF and 2.52g (0.02mol) of benzyl chloride, and under the condition of the microwave radiation power was 320W. under the condition of Chemicalbook radiation reaction for 60s.
The reaction was cooled to room temperature at the end of the reaction. It was first adjusted to alkaline with 10% sodium hydroxide, filtered, and the filtrate was washed with 10% sodium hydroxide until the filtrate was colourless (the filtrate was hydroquinone bisbenzyl ether, which could be recycled).
The filtrate was acidified with hydrochloric acid to make monobenzone precipitated completely, then after pumping filtration and washing with ice water, it was recrystallised with alcohol and water, and decoloured with activated charcoal, to obtain 2.55g of white solid, with a yield of 63.79%.
