Bulk Raw Materials Diosmetin Powder
Product Overview:
Geranyl lignans are isolated from plants, mainly by alcohol extraction, extraction, chromatography, chromatographic chromatography and crystallisation; they can also be obtained semi-synthetically from hesperidin. One study describes a method for the extraction and isolation of geraniol from peppermint. The method uses supercritical extraction technique for extraction, separation by large pore adsorption resin and
counter-current chromatography, and finally recrystallisation to obtain geranylgeranyl products.

Diosmetin Powder Usage and Synthesis.
The method uses supercritical extraction technique for extraction, separation by large pore adsorption resin and counter-current chromatography, and finally recrystallisation to obtain geranylgeranyl products. Another study describes a method for the isolation of geranylgeranyl from Psidium guajava. The method involves the separation and purification of geranylgeranyl using a polyamide column combined with semi-preparative high performance liquid chromatography. There is also the method of obtaining hesperidin by hydrolysis of hesperidin in acidic ethanol solution and refining the latter in pyridine solution with iodine dehydrogenation to obtain geranylgeranyl, an intermediate product in the preparation of lignoceran from hesperidin. The raw materials used in these methods are not easy to obtain, hindering the large-scale production of geranylgeranyl.
Uses of Diosmetin.
1. It has been studied that geranylgeranyl has a pressurising effect.
2. Geranyl lignin has a significant sensitising effect on the chemiluminescence of potassium ferricyanide -luminal system. The test results show that: after adding potassium ferricyanide solution in alkaline luminal solution for 0.8S, the luminescence intensity increases by 0.5 times, and then slowly decreases after 3.85S; in the mixture of alkaline luminal and potassium ferricyanide solution, geranyl lignin is added after 0.55S. The luminescence intensity more than doubled, and the change of luminescence value of the latter exceeded that of the former. This indicates that geranyl lignin has a strong sensitising effect on the chemiluminescence of alkaline luminescence oxidised by potassium ferricyanide solution.
3. Geranyl lignans can be used in the production of functional foods, cosmetics and future drugs with antioxidant, anti-infective and anti-shock effects. A natural flavonoid that inhibits human CYP1A enzyme activity. Geranylgeranyl has anti-mutagenic and anti-stress properties.
Used in content determination/identification/pharmacological experimentsPharmacological effects:Antioxidant, antimutagenic and antimutagenic effects, inhibition of human CYP1A enzyme activity Flavonoids in lemon. Antioxidant. Inhibits carcinogen activation by inhibiting cyp1a1 enzyme.
Chemical Properties of Diosmetin .
Slightly soluble in methanol, readily soluble in DMSO Derived from the rind of Citrus limon (L.) Burm.
Pharmacological Effect of Diosmetin Powder.
1.Antioxidant effect:
As one of the natural flavonoids, geranylgeranyl has a strong antioxidant effect. Zou Shujun et al. proved that geranylgeranyl has a certain scavenging effect on DPPH- and O2. And with the increase of concentration, the scavenging rate showed an increasing trend, i.e., it showed a quantitative-effect relationship. Comparing the absorbance value of 95% ethanol solution containing 1,1- diphenyl-2-trinitrophenylhydrazine radical (DPPH-) before and after the addition of geranylgeranyl, it was found that after the addition of geranylgeranyl, the absorbance value of the solution decreased, indicating that geranylgeranyl paired with the single electron of DPPH-, and the concentration of DPPH- in the solution was only reduced, proving that geranylgeranyl has the ability to scavenge DPPH- radicals, and the antioxidant activity is higher. Free radical scavenging ability, strong antioxidant activity, and activity is stronger than VitC
2. Antibacterial effect:
Globally, an increasing number of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) have limited therapeutic options, and natural compounds have been shown to have antimicrobial effects against MRSA.Geranylgeranyl has no direct antibacterial activity against MRSA strains, however, geranylgeranyl significantly inhibited MRSA pyruvate kinase activity in a dose-dependent manner, which may lead to ATP deficiency, affecting the bacterial jet pump and allowing geranylgeranyl to exert an inhibitory effect on MRSA
3. Anti-tumour:
In the human mammary epithelial carcinoma cell line MCF-7 cells, geranylgeranyl treatment resulted in a dose- and time-dependent increase in cytochrome P450 1A1 (CYP1A1) activity in the cells. By increasing the amount of CYP1A1 mRNA, geranylgeranyl increased the transcription of the CYP1A1 gene. Geranylgeranyl increased the transcription and activity of the CYP1A1 gene and inhibited CYP1A1 enzyme activity, thus inhibiting the activation of carcinogens.
