Produced by the reaction of 2,4-dimethylaniline, triethyl orthoformate and methylamine. Raw material consumption: 2,4-dimethylaniline (100%) 350kg/t, triethyl orthoformate (100%) 500kg/t, monomethylamine 70kg/t, xylenes 750kg/t.
N-2,4-dimethylbenzamide was prepared by reacting 2,4-dimethylbenzamine with formic acid, and then 2,4-dimethylbenzylcarbamide was obtained by reacting with phosgene gas and using triethylamine as acid-binding agent.
The dry methylamine gas was passed into the mixture of xylenocarbylamine and cuprous oxide, and after the reaction, cyclohexane was added while it was hot, and the monoformamidine was filtered out by cooling. Then reacted with xylene carbylamine in benzene to obtain amitraz.
