Pharmacological action of Retinoic acid.

This product can significantly inhibit the formation of experimental acne, by regulating the abnormal keratosis of hair follicle sebaceous gland epithelium to remove the keratosis plug, thus playing a role in preventing and eliminating acne lesions. In addition, retinoic acid can also affect the production of melanin in melanocytes, and its effect is multi-site, inhibiting the activity of tyrosine hydroxylase, dopa oxidase and dihydroxyindole oxidase, thereby reducing the formation of melanin and alleviating skin pigmentation. It had no effect on tyrosinase activity and melanin composition in normal melanocytes.
