Ciprofloxacin Raw Material is also known as ciprofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, Ciprofloxacin, Ciprofloxacin, Cipuxin, Mansulin, Emprol, Temellic, Ciprofloxacin, Ciprofloxacin Powder belongs to the third generation quinolone antibiotics and has become the most widely used fluoroquinolone antibiotics in the world. Its antibacterial spectrum is similar to norfloxacin, but its antibacterial activity is 2 to 10 times stronger, and it is the strongest drug in vitro antibacterial activity of this class of drugs. 

Ciprofloxacin CAS 85721-33-1 is the third generation fluoroquinolone synthetic antibacterial drug. It is significantly better than cephalosporins and aminoglycosides for Enterobacteriaceae, gonococci, streptococci, Legionella, and Staphylococcus aureus, etc. The antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria is similar to that of Ofloxacin, and the antibacterial activity against all sensitive Gram-negative bacteria is 2-4 times stronger than that of Norfloxacin and Ofloxacin, and also better than that of Cefaclor and Gentamicin.

Gentamicin-resistant Enterobacteriaceae and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus are also often still sensitive to this product. The mechanism of action of ciprofloxacin is to inhibit DNA gyrase, which is involved in nucleic acid synthesis, and prevent cell division and sterilization by damaging bacterial DNA structure.

Ciprofloxacin is indicated for the treatment of systemic infections caused by sensitive bacteria, respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract infections, female genital tract infections, prostatitis, epididymitis, gonococcal urethritis, moderate and severe respiratory tract infections, intestinal infections, typhoid fever, bacillary dysentery, peritonitis, biliary tract infections, bone and joint infections, skin and soft tissue infections, mycosis fungoides, mixed mycobacterial and bacterial infections, sepsis and intra-abdominal infections, ear, nose and throat infections, ophthalmic infections, periodontitis and pericoronal inflammation, etc.

Ciprofloxacin has good antibacterial effect in vitro against the following bacteria:

• 1、Most of the bacteria in the Enterobacteriaceae family, including Citrobacter spp., Gut, Enterobacter aerogenes, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp., Aspergillus spp., Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Vibrio spp. and Yersinia spp.
• 2. It has high antibacterial activity against penicillin-resistant Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Haemophilus influenzae and Moraxella catarrhalis.
• 3、It has antibacterial effect on most strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and other Pseudomonas spp.
• 4、Ciprofloxacin has antibacterial activity against methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus, and only moderate antibacterial activity against Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus haemolyticus and Enterococcus faecalis.
• 5、It has good effect on Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma and Legionella, and also has antibacterial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mycobacterium atypicalum.
• 6、Poor antibacterial activity against anaerobic bacteria, only a weak effect.
