Product details
Fusidic Acid Powder is also known as Clostridial Acid, Sodium Fusidic Acid, Sodium Clostridial Acid, Sodium Fusomycin, Fusomycin or Steroidal Acidomycin, Fusidine Powder is a clostridial acid antibiotic with a steroidal backbone.
Fusidic Acid Raw Materials Clinically Fusidic Acid is used for osteomyelitis or skin and soft tissue infections caused by sensitive bacteria. It is also used for deep infections where other antibiotic treatments have failed, such as sepsis, pneumonia and endocarditis.
Fusidic Acid Powder has excellent tissue penetration and is widely distributed in the organism. Of particular clinical importance is the high concentration of the product not only in tissues with a rich blood supply, but also in tissues with a low vascular distribution.
Uses and functions of Fusidic Acid Powder.
It has been widely used in the treatment of various infections caused by sensitive bacteria, especially staphylococci, such as osteomyelitis, sepsis, endocarditis, recurrent infections of cystic fibrosis, bacterial endocarditis, pneumonia, meningitis, diphtheria, tuberculosis, skin and soft tissue infections, surgical and traumatic infections, etc.
It is also used in the treatment of severe infections or infections with drug-resistant strains of bacteria. Intravenous administration is used for serious infections or infections with drug-resistant strains of bacteria, and is also used for MRSA infections.
However, due to its tendency to develop drug resistance, it is mostly used as an adjunctive drug. Oral treatment of pseudomembranous enteritis caused by Clostridium difficile is effective.
Pharmacological Effects of Fusidic Acid Powder.
Sodium fusidic acid has excellent tissue penetration and is widely distributed in the organism. Of particular clinical importance is the fact that the product has a high concentration not only in tissues with a rich blood supply, but also in tissues with a low vascular distribution.
Concentrations of sodium fusidic acid have been known to exceed its minimal inhibitory concentration for staphylococci (0.03 to 0.16 micrograms/mL) in pus, sputum, soft tissue, heart, bone tissue, synovial fluid, dead bone fragments, burn scabs, brain abscesses and the eye.
Production method of Fusidic Acid Powder.
Clinical application is usually made into sodium salt, the molecular formula of sodium salt is C31H47NaO6. fusidic acid is highly sensitive to all kinds of gram-positive cocci associated with skin infections, especially to staphylococci, and is also effective against drug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, and also has a certain degree of antimicrobial effect on some gram-negative bacteria. It has no cross-resistance with other antibiotics.
