Use and synthesis of Acetylsalicylic Acid :
Aspirin, also known as acetylsalicylic acid, belongs to the class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, the earliest used for anti-inflammatory and analgesic.
Scientists later discovered that aspirin prevented platelets from clumping together, thus preventing blood clots. As research on aspirin continues, many new uses have been found, such as reducing death rates from heart attacks and strokes, and reducing the risk of colorectal cancer.
Pharmacological effects of Acetylsalicylic Acid :
Acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) is a traditional antipyretic and analgesic drug. The mechanism of acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) is to acetylate the epoxide of platelets, thus inhibiting the formation of intra-ring peroxide and reducing the generation of TXA2.
It also has the effect of anti-platelet aggregation. It is suitable for ischemic heart disease. After PTCA and coronary artery bypass grafting, it can prevent transient cerebral ischemia, stroke and myocardial infarction, and reduce the incidence of arrhythmia.
Acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) has antithrombotic properties in vivo and can reduce the formation of obstructive thrombus in peripheral arteries.

Acetylsalicylic Acid uses:
