Product details
Mangiferin, also known as guanzhimin or mangiferin, is a tetrahydroxypyridone carbonyl glycoside, a bisbenzopyrone flavonoids, mainly from the dry rhizome of the perennial herb Zhimai of the family Liliaceae, the plant lentils, mango leaves, fruits, bark, and the roots of the plant Hainan Wulianlou of the genus Wulianlong of the family Spermocarpaceae;
It has a variety of pharmacological activities such as cough, asthma, expectorant, immune anti-inflammatory and analgesic, hepatoprotective and choleretic, anti-lipid peroxidation, anticancer, anti-diabetic, antibacterial, antiviral, etc. At present, the clinical application of the main mango cough tablets, mango cough capsule, mango glycoside tablets, mango glycoside drops, and these agents are limited to respiratory system diseases.
Uses and functions of Mangiferin.
A natural phenolic flavonoid that may be studied as an anti-microbial or anti-diabetic agent with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity.
Mangiferin can be used to help identify and characterise type II 5-alpha-reductase.MGF can be used as a reference substance for flavonoid analysis.MGF may act as a facilitator of gastrointestinal transit (GIT).
It has central nervous system inhibition, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-herpes simplex virus, choleretic and immune effects, and protective effects against acute hypoxic liver injury in simulated plateau.
Pharmacological experiments have shown that it is used in the treatment of chronic bronchitis with good efficacy, is the main active ingredient in the treatment of hepatitis with Tibetan yin chen, and is the active antiviral ingredient in the rhizome of Zhi Mu.
Pharmacological Effect of Mangiferin Powder.
1.Antioxidant effect
Due to the special structure of mangiferin, the molecule has a number of phenolic hydroxyl groups, and phenolic hydroxyl groups happen to be an important group for scavenging free radicals and reactive oxygen species.
The mechanism of its action on free radicals can be attributed to two aspects: on the one hand, it acts directly on the removal of free radicals, and on the other hand, it acts on iron and copper ions to reduce their further reaction with free radicals.
2.Anti-tumour effect
The occurrence of leukaemia is related to the disturbance of cell cycle regulation, and there is a close relationship between cell cycle regulation and telomerase activity. Therefore, the study of telomerase and cell cycle regulation abnormality has become a new direction to explore the occurrence and treatment of leukaemia.
The development of leukaemia is associated with cell cycle regulation disorders, and there is a close relationship between cell cycle regulation and the expression of telomerase activity. Therefore, the study of telomerase and cell cycle regulation abnormality has become a new direction to explore the occurrence and treatment of leukaemia.
3.Neuroprotective effect
Mangiferin with polyphenolic structure protects neurons by reducing glutamate-induced cell death in neurons through attenuating Ca2+ in-flow and oxidative stress.
4.Antiviral effects
It has in vitro anti-herpes simplex virus type I (HSV-I) effect, the reduction rate of empty spots is 56.8%, and its antiviral effect is attributed to its ability to inhibit intracellular viral replication.
5.Antipyretic effect
It has good antipyretic effect on endotoxin-induced fever in experimental animal models, and it is positively correlated with the dose, and it has good protection against thermal injury.
6.Analgesic effect
It has significant analgesic effect on acetic acid-induced and hot plate test-induced pain. By comparing with naloxone hydrochloride, it is found that mangiferin-induced nociceptive deficits are not dependent on opioid receptors, and its analgesic effect is significant, with slight effect on peripheral nerves.
7. Anti-parasitic effect
Mangiferin has a significant inhibitory effect on Cryptosporidium microsporidium in young mice. The effect of mangiferin on mice infected with nematodes, trichinella.
Extraction Processes of Bulk Mangiferin Powder.
1.Organic solvent extraction process adopts more than 90% ethanol as extraction solvent, and high purity mangiferin can be extracted from mango leaves.
2. The water-based solvent extraction process uses weak alkaline water as the extraction solvent to extract mango glycosides from mango leaves, and the extract was eluted by D101 column macroporous resin and D301 column to remove impurities and decolourize in turn. This high-purity mangiferin extraction process is suitable for industrial production.
3. Enzymatic extraction process was carried out by cellulase enzyme on mango leaves to extract mango glycosides, the experimental conditions: enzyme PH is 5.0, the temperature is 55 ℃, and the time is 2 h. The extracts were separated from the mango leaves with the help of ultrasonic assisted extraction process.
4.Ultrasonic-assisted extraction processThe ultrasonic-assisted extraction process has the advantages of simplicity, short time-consumption, energy saving, etc., and has good prospects for development and application.
